How we handle your data when you visit lifestyle.ch, submit an enquiry, open an account or shop in our store.

2. Principles
We process your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP). Data minimisation is a design principle for us: we deliberately store no IP addresses with enquiries and set no advertising or tracking cookies. For audience measurement we use a cookieless web analytics service that stores no IP addresses and builds no personal profiles.
3. What we process, and when
Visiting the website
This website is operated by a specialised hosting provider; technical server logs arise in the process. For audience measurement we use our hosting provider’s cookieless web analytics; it stores no IP addresses and builds no personal profiles. Typefaces and other design assets are delivered with the page itself.
Bot protection
When forms are submitted and at sign-in, we use a cookieless bot protection service to check whether a request comes from a human. The service evaluates device signals; we deliberately do not transmit any IP address to the verification interface.
Waitlist and enquiries
When you submit an enquiry via the waitlist, contact or concierge form, we process your email address and, where you provide them, your name, phone number, travel dates and message, together with technical metadata such as language and device class, but without your IP address. You then receive a confirmation email (double opt-in) via an email delivery provider. Only after your confirmation do we transfer the enquiry to our contact management. We send a newsletter only with your express consent; you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter email.
Account and sign-in
You sign in to your account with a login link sent to your email address or with your Google, X or Facebook account, without a password. When you sign in via one of these providers, we receive your email address, your name and in some cases your avatar image from them; the provider’s own privacy policy applies to its processing. Details from the guest onboarding, such as travel preferences, are stored in your guest profile; they serve to show you suitable recommendations.
Lifestyle Concierge
Questions to the Lifestyle Concierge are transmitted to a specialised provider of AI language models to generate the answer. We may store and analyse conversations with the concierge to improve the quality of the answers and of our offering; please therefore do not share any particularly sensitive personal data in the chat.
Shop
In the shop we set a technically necessary cart cookie (30 days) so your cart is preserved. Purchase and payment take place on shop.lifestyle.ch via Shopify; the Shopify privacy policy additionally applies there.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use only technically necessary cookies and local storage: the sign-in session, the cart cookie and the text size you have chosen (stored in your browser, not on our servers). Our web analytics works without cookies and without personal profiles; that is also why we show no cookie banner. Should we use services in the future that require consent, we will inform you here and obtain it beforehand.
5. Recipients and disclosure abroad
To operate this website and to send enquiries and emails, we use carefully selected processors. The following overview shows the categories of these recipients. Where processing takes place outside Switzerland and the EU, we ensure appropriate safeguards; on request, we will name the individual providers.
